Neston Riverside WI Newsletter August 2022

15/08/2022
Dear Members

It was great to see so many of you at our Birthday Dinner which seems to have been enjoyed by everyone.

Members have expressed a desire to give a donation in memory of Gill Hilditch. The suggestion is that we give £100 to 1st Ness Brownies as that is where her daughter believes she would have wished the money to go. The proposal will be put to the members at the August meeting for a vote.

Summer Fair raffle money. (£195) We wish to give this money to a local charity and would like suggestions from members as to which charities they would like to support. Votes will be taken and the money shared between the 2 favourite charities. Please have a think if there’s any particular charity you’d like to suggest.

Ness and Little Neston WI outing on 22nd September still has a few places left. It’s afternoon tea on the Floating Grace, based at the Albert Dock and includes a tour of the docks. The cost is £20. If you are interested please contact the committee.

We will need cheques payable to NestonRiverside at the next meeting please.

County Quiz 20th September. We need volunteers to make up the team. If you’re interested please let the committee know. We don’t take it too seriously and we try to enjoy the experience!

Sales Table. We welcome your contributions to the sales table but could we ask you please that if it’s not sold at the end of the night you take it home again. You’re welcome to bring it again another month but Chris does not want to have to take items home at the end of the day.
