Centenary Concert – Tuesday 25th February 11am – 12pm. The tickets have arrived. Those members who are going by bus10am at Marshlands Road.

Diners Club – The next diners club will be on Wednesday 4th March at the Silk Road in Heswall, 6.30pm. There will be a board available tonight.

Clickers – Trauma teddies, baby blankets, pouches and mitts for koalas in Australia. Julie will explain tonight. The next Clickers meeting is on Thursday 20th February, 2pm -3.30pm at Net’s Café.

Readers– The next meeting of the Readers group is on Monday 16th March. The venue is Philippa’s house. Numbers have dwindled recently so new members are most welcome. This month’s book is ‘Something to Live For’ by Richard Roper. Also poems to be discussed by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage.

Creative Writing – Monday 24th February 2pm. Meet at Pauline Hignett’s house.

Rhapsodists – There are two rehearsal dates 4th and 11th March. The Rhapsodists are performing for the Cameo Club on Thursday 2nd April at their meeting.

Cameo Club – Andrea has a brilliant suggestion to raise funds for the Cameo Club it involves marmalade and money. All will be revealed tonight.

Birthday Dinner – Enquiries have been made to The Mouse in Brimstage as a venue for our Birthday Dinner. A good menu and the cost is £22.95 for 3-courses. It has been booked provionally and will be put to the members tonight. A board will be available to sign up.

Fairtrade – There is a fashion show on Friday 28th February, 7.30pm at Neston Methodist Church, tickets £5 for adults and £2.50 for under 18. Refreshments included. A charity that supports a Women’s Enterprise in Malawi making Sustainable Fair Trade Fashion, Accessories, Household Products and helping school girls with menstrual health management. Margaret Heibl has asked our W.I. if we would support Fairtrade products i.e. tea, coffee. There will also be a display at our meeting in March.

Trips for 2020 – 1950’s museum in Denbigh. Tuesday 10th March11-4pm. Meet at the Royal Oak and need volunteers to drive cars. Approx. cost is £5.

Another proposed trip is a tour around Chester with a possible date of Thursday 9th July. To be confirmed. Also another proposed trip is to Joddrell Bank. Enquiries will be made.
