ILLNESS - Please see any member of the committee if you know of any of our members who may need our support. We are holding Chris Jackson in our thoughts and prayers as she is very poorly.
We regret to hear that Margaret Young has passed away. Her funeral service will take place on 26th July at 2.15 at Little Neston Methodist Church. 3.30 at Landican.

RAFFLE – A £10 voucher is provided from funds. For the other prizes we depend on donations from members and we are very grateful for your support.

SUMMER FAIR – Many thanks to those who worked so hard to make this a success: especially Norma, Moira, Janet Harvey, Sue Kendall, Sue Evans and Andrea and Sue. Members were really generous with their donations and 3 hampers were created.
Prizes have been distributed to the 3 hamper winners: Lynne, Joanne and Maureen (all non members) and Olly and Cody won the sweets.
The grand total raised will be announced on Wednesday.

WI BADGES – If anyone would like to order an enamel lapel WI badge we will be sending away for them soon. Motto: Inspiring Women. Cost £5. There will be a board, and example, in August.

RIVERSIDE DINERS – Met on the 3rd July at Kri Kri for a very good meal.

REAL FOOD KITCHEN – 14 members attended and we all learnt something at this very interesting workshop about tapas making. The food at the end was delicious and plentiful.

MEMBER INVOLVEMENT:
Members often have comments, good and bad, on what goes on at the meetings, trips etc. One way to have more say is to come on the committee, but that is not for everyone. There are other ways. See below:

SPEAKERS – Currently speakers are chosen by a member of the committee from word of mouth recommendations and a handbook of suggested speakers. We thought we would open up this process and give members the opportunity to be involved. If any one, or group, of people would like the challenge, please contact a member of the committee by the August meeting. Support will be given.

SOUTH WIRRAL GROUP – Another chance for members to be involved. We need a delegate to attend South Wirral Group meetings and feed back the information to the committee and members. Again, see a member of the committee.
