NESTON RIVERSIDE W.I.
NEWSLETTER NO 93

Wednesday 20th February 2019
nestonriversidewi.co.uk

Where did January go? It seems to have flown by and now February is nearly at an end with St. David’s Day only a matter of days away. How lovely it is to open the curtains in the morning and see snowdrops, crocuses and daffodils moving gently in the breeze and I’m sure the grass is growing already. The days are longer, the sun is warmer and hopefully Spring won’t be far away.

ILLNESS - Please see any member of the committee if you know of any of our members who may need our support.

VISITORS: Visitors will be asked to pay £2.00 at the door towards our funds to help cover hire of the hall and refreshments.

SALES TABLE – Money raised from the Sales Table will be donated to the Wirral Churches Ark Project for the homeless, as voted for by the members.

RESOLUTIONS – The resolution chosen by members was “A call against the decline in local bus services” with 13 votes.

VOTE OF THANKS – We would like to have a rota of people willing to give the vote of thanks at the end of a speaker’s talk. Would those willing please speak to any of the committee members. We would be very grateful for volunteers.

Quiz: Congratulations to our quiz team for coming second in the qualifying heat. We only dropped 2 points in total over the entire night. Congratulations to Wallasey who beat us by 1 point. We now go forward to play in the final on the 5th April.
