COMMITTEE MEETING – All members are welcome to come to committee meetings to see what goes on. The next committee meeting will be on the November 9th in the Church Hall at 7.30. We would be delighted to see interested/curious members.

razor blades, small shaving foam, hats, gloves, scarves, small torches, snacks, e.g. cereal bars, body sprays, travel Tampax/pads, dry shampoo, small packs of tissues, wet wipes
Items with a long use-by date please.
Also good quality toys for any age.
CATHEDRAL VISIT – We had a really interesting guided tour of this beautiful building and a wander round the huge crypt, admiring the scale of the building but glad that the design had been changed for something smaller and more modern.
Riverside Ramblers- Thanks to Lyn for organising a lovely walk with a good lunch at the end of it!
LITTLE ACTORS –Members voted £400 to be donated to the group. A cheque will soon be handed over. Thank you
SILK MUSEUM – 26TH October. Coach 9 am from the Royal Oak
CRAFT TASTER DAY – Saturday 11th November to make Christmas cards and Christmas decorations. There may be a small charge for materials and we can order lunch on the day from Little Neston 'butty shop'.You needn't stay for the whole day it's fine to drop in for a while and see what's on offer. You don't need to be super arty but maybe a bit crafty!
REMEMBRANCE DAY WALK – Sunday 12th November leaving the British Legion at 2.30 for a service at the church at 3pm. Wreath laying at 4pm. All members welcome.
SOUTH WIRRAL GROUP - 24th November at Gladstone Village Hall, Burton 7.30pm. Entertainment by the singers “Western Approaches.” £4 a ticket. These are always good evenings so give it a go.
CAROL CONCERT – 6th December at Chester Cathedral
Christmas at Whitefriars...Friday 8th and Saturday 9th December. Details in your Cheshire News.
December Meeting..we have organised a buffet supper so please don't have any tea! We will be singing Carols and would like members to bring their favourite Christmas poems or readings to share on the night. It's an opportunity to wear some festive glitz!
North West Cancer Research are holding a fund raising Christmas Bazaar on Wednesday November 1st at Thornton Manor. Tickets £4 9.30-3pm
RIVERSIDE DINERS - 13th December, The Wheatsheaf Ness at 7.30pm. 3 courses £11.95. A deposit will be collected in October.
