FACEBOOK – Our WI now has its own Facebook page which can be found by a search on Facebook for Neston Riverside WI. This page can only be managed by Judith or Philippa. There is also a closed group for members only. In order to join this group you have to be invited and you need to be on Facebook. Please could you give your contact details (email address and Facebook name) if you wish to be part of this group and to be able to comment and put pictures on.
ILLNESS - If someone in the WI is unwell we feel it would be a nice idea for us to show our sympathy and support but we rely on members keeping us informed. Please see Julie or any member of the committee if you know of anyone.
SWG - This was a fun, profitable evening enjoyed by 75 people. Our WI worked really hard to provide the refreshments. Well done to those who helped.
RESOLUTIONS – An enjoyable day was had at the Echo Arena. Both resolutions were passed for the National WI to act upon.
CRAFT TASTER – There was very positive feedback from those who took part and made a variety of cards. A further event will be held nearer to Christmas.
HAUGHTON HALL – The sun shone at the start of the day but then the heavens opened and we retreated to The Hollies Garden Centre. It was certainly a memorable day.
SEGWAY OUTING – 28th June. We will meet at the Royal Oak and depart at 10.30. There is a cafe where lunch can be bought or bring your own picnic. The final session will finish at 2pm and we will depart shortly after that, aiming to be back for 3pm. Wear flat closed toe shoes. Helmets will be provided.
Parking is £6 per car.
VINTAGE TEA – 21st July 2pm to 4pm. Tickets £2.50. There will be a sales table with hand made items. Please show your support by buying tickets and signing up to make cakes, see board tonight.
AIRBUS -17th August at 11am. Lunch is being arranged.
CHATSWORTH - 6th September. Board tonight if you still wish to sign up.
NATIONAL MEMORIAL ARBORETUM – Ness and Little Neston WI has arranged a trip on 14th September which they have opened up to our group. The cost will be £20 which includes the coach and a trip round the site on the Land Train. There will be a brief service on arrival. The coach will leave from St Michael’s Church at 8.15am and we should be back by 3pm. Take a picnic or buy lunch on site. If interested, see board.
METROPOLITAN (Catholic) CATHEDRAL LIVERPOOL - A trip has been organised on 27th September with a 1 hour guided tour starting at 12 noon and costing £2.50. An optional visit to the Lutyen’s Crypt underneath will cost £3.00 There will be a board in August.

RIVERSIDE DRAMA GROUP – Rehearsals continue on Wednesday 28th June at 7.30 at the Methodist Church Hall.
RIVERSIDE CLICKERS – Meet on Thursday 22nd June at 2pm at Net’s Cafe for a relaxing, sociable event.
CREATIVE WRITING- 1st August at Philippa’s house.
SALES TABLE – The theme for August will be bonkers about books.
BIRTHDAY MEETING – Next meeting on 19th July 7 for 7.30 at Inglewood. 36 people have signed up for the Birthday Dinner.
